A to Z Preschool is a home based Montessori preschool located in Villa Park.
Our mission at A to Z Preschool is to provide a superior preschool experience with a Montessori environment that allows a dynamic learning experience designed according to the developmental needs of the individual child.
Core Pillars of Our Philosophy
- The Prepared Environment: Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed “homes away from home” with child-sized furniture and open shelves. This space allows children to choose their work freely, fostering independence and a sense of ownership.
- Follow the Child: We recognize that every child has an “absorbent mind” and unique developmental timeline. The educator acts as guide rather than teacher, observing each student to introduce new materials only when they are developmentally ready.
- Multi-Age Classrooms: By grouping children in three-year age spans (e.g., ages 3–6), we create a natural social community. Older students become mentors, reinforcing their own knowledge, while younger students feel supported by their peers.
- Hands-On Mastery: our program uses scientifically designed, self-correcting materials that allow children to learn through discovery. This builds critical thinking and ensures they “get it” through physical manipulation rather than memorization.
